Barmore Farm: The Freedom of Cottages

Barmore Farm is a collection of pet friendly holiday cottages, converted from old farm buildings which have retained their outer charm but have been tastefully converted in the interiors. Our cottage was the old 'Hay Loft' accessed by a stair case from the front door and porch. The windows in the lounge were low level or nearly floor level for Cuileann which provided a charming view of the courtyard and a great spy hole on our fellow guests for the dog. The cottage has comfortable lounge with wood burning stove, dinning table and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a micro wave oven, toaster, kettle and full sized cooker. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed, it was at the back of the cottage so once asleep you stayed that way - no noise until the birds woke you up.

Unique Quality: If previous guests had left books the owners kept them in the cottages - we had two books one I had read before and one I hadn't. Unfortunately for us - one was in French and the other in Spanish but someone on a future stay may enjoy them!! The cottages are provided with a large basket of logs if you need more they are free - just collect some from the wood shed. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the lean -to adjacent to the Hay Loft at a small charge.
We really enjoyed this breakaway cottage - it didn't take long to become a home from home.
