No problems, but not really worth the money
I spent two nights at the hotel on a mostly tourist trip to the city. Location is good, on a peaceful and clean street in central Baku (new city). A spartan yet a bit office-like atmosphere. No major complaints, although some minor: AC was making more noise than me snoring (that's a lot), the thingy to keep the shower up was broken, not enough towels in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok - yet again - nothing special.
For some reason two police officers were sitting on the lobby sofa 24 h. In Azerbaijan that isn't necessarily a calming thing.
To sum it up; Very basic stuff, no major concerns, but considering what I paid for a Double room - about USD 150 - it was absolutely not worth the price. I have to admit that I don't know much about the price level of Baku hotels, but elsewhere in similar cities I'd put this hotel into about USD 75 category, tops.
Very forgettable place. I'm pretty sure I won't remember a single thing about the hotel in 3 weeks time. I'd change the name to something implying less glamour - maybe Hotel Insurance Salesman.
