Nakhchivan City Swimming Center: Found another place to stay in Nakhchivan

As you can understand from the name, it is actually not a hotel. This is a center for swimming with a huge indoor pool and the complex has 3 cottage houses right behind the main building. The cottage houses can be used as a guesthouse, which we did together with my family. The houses are nice. The one in the middle has a bedroom with 2 separate beds, living room with a couch and 2 armchairs and a TV and a bathroom (with running hot water). The other 2 houses have 3 rooms. All of them were clean and nice. The manager was a very hospitable, polite young man and has his office in the main building.

Guests are allowed to use the indoor swimming pool, which is great :) The place has no restaurant but there is a "Genjlik" shopping center not far and they serve decent breakfast. The swimming center is perfectly located downtown, near the Customs Committee headquarters.

Hotel Grand Nahchivan: The place to stay in Nahchivan

Well this hotel is the only international standard hotel in Nahchivan city. Everyone recommended it to me and indeed I was glad I stayed there. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice. There was running hot water, the TV had satellite channels ;-) Downstairs there's a restaurant where they serve breakfast and also there's a big screen TV in the lobby where they serve tea upon request. Also a small bar to the right once you enter the hotel.

There's no pool at the hotel, it is conveniently located off the main road - not far from the airport.
