The Delmon self styles itself as a 4 star hotel. At best I would give it 2 stars anywhere but Bahrain as most Bahriani 2 stars are roach infested dumps. The Delmon was once THE premier hotel in Bahrain especially for business but it is run down and needs an overhaul. The carpets, furniture, bedding, TVs, and baths, etc need upgrading. Some beds are in a very bad way with big areas where the springs are crushed. It does have good points though which I put in the unique qualities.
I DO NOT recommend you bring children here as there are lots of women of questionable morals around this hotel and the kids might ask questions you don't want to answer.
Unique Quality: The staff is very friendly and efficient. The bell men will have your car parked and washed. There is an airport shuttle that is always on time. The restaurant has good room service and is reasonably priced. The mini bars are OK and not over priced. There is a safe in each room. The pool is small but clean. There are 3 night clubs/bars in the hotel. There is a stage show type with Arabic entertainment, an Arabic bar with a live band and an Expat bar with a house band. The Expat bar gets so crowded that you can hardly move but it is quite lively!

The location is terriffic. You are right across the street from the Gold Souk (Market) and on the edge of the main souk area. It is close to restaurants in walking distance, close to the financial district and shopping.
Directions: Tell the taxi driver and he will know where it is. It is well known and is literally across the street from the gold souk.

This Moroccan restaurant is located in the Delmon Hotel, (Delmon International Hotel
Tel: +973 17224000); it is a cosy quiet place with discreet live music, having not a lot of choice, but what they have is good; let the staff give you advice on the best food of the day and if it is “Couscous Royal”, do not hesitate; the staff is Moroccan, so there are people who know how to prepare couscous; add a bottle of Moroccan wine, and you will be happy for the evening.
