Hawar Resort: Family Fun Resort
We spent 2 nights in one of Hawar Resorts Apartments. It was a 2 bedroom with 2 baths and was a decent size accomidation. The bathrooms were very clean. The living area could have been cleaner ( needed vacuumed). Also the extra mattresses could have been cleaner, we ended up putting two sheets on them. From what some of our friends told us, the apartments are a lot roomier for families than the hotel rooms.
We will be going back again at the end of this month (September, 2005). Will let you know if there is any change. :-)
Unique Quality: The resort is beautiful, with 2 swimming pools, 2 very large water park style slides by one of the pools, and a smaller slide at the other pool. Plenty of places to sit and relax as well. Their is water everywhere, so you have great views! There is a calm harbor area where you can ride in paddle boats or kayaks. In that area you can rent jet ski's also to take out into the main waters for some added fun. There is a couple of restaurants in the Hotel to eat, as well as a buffet style area outside by the pool. They offer a tour of the island if you would like to take it as well, to learn more about the history of Hawar Island.
