The Hotel Intourist is not up to western standards by any means, but it at least serviceable if you decide to stay the night in Gori. Like much of the country, electricity and running water can be sporadic in Gori. We had electricity during our stay, but running water for only 30 minutes. The hotel is in a general state of disrepair, flooring coming apart, giant holes in ceilings, hunks of paint dangling off walls. That said, the beds were comfortable enough, and some rooms had tiny iron balconies. It's dirt cheap, and was probably a nice place in 1960 or so, but don't expect much.

The only option to sleep in Gori is the hotel intourist.
This hotel is a typical soviet style hotel.
Except the Stalin pictures there is no difference to other soviet style hotels.
This is a discreption of a soviet style hotel.
The soviet style hotels are mostly buildings with many stores.
Downstairs there is the reception. If you are lucky you meet a very friendly person.
If you are unlucky there is person who wants to cheat you and make some extra $$$$
On the etage there is a old women who keeps the keys and the passports.
Sometimes they are very rude but sometimes they are very friendly and make some hot tea.
The rooms are not renovated since the end of the UDSSR.
Sometimes there is no warm water available.
