 | T'bilisi Reviews | Tips 31 - 40 of 56 | | The Courtyard Tbilisi (Marriott) is a somewhat blandly good hotel, situated in the perfect Tbilisi location. Good for business travelors and others wanting all the amenities associated with an international hotel chain (good restaurant, safe, fast internet, clean, etc.), the Courtyard Tbilisi will not disappoint. The building that the hotel occupies is also absolutely beautiful!
Unique qualities include the hotel's fabulous location, situated immediatly adjacent to Tbilisi's old town area and the city's Turkish Baths!

50$ per room. Quite place if you stay on the second floor, the first flour is a bit more noisy, since all the windows are to the yard through which everybody enter. The room is clean and big, but pretty old and a bit dusty. The pillow is huge! There is air conditioning. The bathroom is clean too but falling apart a bit. Hot water 24 hours a day. The tourist office is located in the same place on the bottom floor. Breakfast was ok. Salad, bread, butter, jam, eggs and coffee or tea. The personal was nice, nothing extra ordinary. Most of the guests were ex USSR citizens. There are about 15 rooms, the place is pretty busy you should book in advance. www.exotour.ge Theme: HotelPrice: US$40-80 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: AvlabariDirections: Avlabari, go up from the metro, about 5 minutes. This seems to be a recently opened hotel. However, that does not mean that everything works well. Our rooms were small but decent. Both were airconditioned. Our only problem were the few missing light-bulbs in the bathroom, which were never placed despite having informed the reception staff. It was not that much of an annoyance so we did not insist. Not that it would have made any difference. The staff is far from friendly. They seem to work extremely long hours and have no energy to be nice or attentive to their guest's needs. This is what disappointed me most about this hotel. We were not made to feel welcome and very little information about the city was provided. Breakfast was not great either! On the other hand, the hotel's location is very convenient. it is very close to the Old City district and other attractions. Other than that, I was not particularly impressed.

I was for 2 weeks in Georgia and first 4 days I stayed at another Hotel, after I found Georgian House - costs half price ($ 40) and is much better – Service was excellent, friendly atmosphere, very clean and quiet rooms. If you’ll be also friendly – you will have some presents, I was invited in Hotel’s wine cellar to drink home-made wine and chacha (Georgian Vodka) and at last day in Georgian Restaurant Tamada to eat Khinkali (traditional food). The Restaurant Tamada and Hotel Georgian House is owned by Travel Company – Exotour. Direct in the Hotel is office of the Company and guests can easily order car-service, tours, or hotel booking in other Cities and Resorts.

Stayed in a single room 6 nights in mid-October 2007. Clean and adequate rooms, staff all very helpful and spoke English well which is important if your Georgian is very poor as mine is - we would book taxis etc. through them and get them to transcribe our instructions directly for the cabbie. Simple breakfast served up until 10am, smallbar open tol 23:20
Very good location on Kostavas (continuation of Rustaveli) and great for pubs and clubs of Akhvledani. However, the traffic noise was a problem ALL NIGHT to a greate or lesser extent for everyone in our party - in Tbilis you are obliged to peep the horn when your hand is on the steering wheel, it seems ! As I heard about Irma's house from this site, I would like firstly to say thank you to this site members. Secondly I would say the same what many others have already said about Irma's house in Tbilisi, Saburtalo. It is a very nice, modern private house, located 5 mins away from the 24hr supermarket and 10mins away from Old hote Adjara, in Saburtalo, in the Tbilisi centre. I contacted Irma 3 days before my vacations, and once I learnt the house was available I cancelled my hotel room and stayed at her house for 30$ a day. I liked the newly done house, its comfortable bed after long days walks and the family. Irma's parents were very attentive, hospitable and helpful. I would reccomend this house to anyone. It has a big reception, dining room with the kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a sitting room with a balcony. I am going there next year, and I have already booked the house. You can contact her on igoder@hotmail.co.uk Unfortunately, I can't remember the phone number, but I am sure it is on this website. The only downside is that the yard/garden is not big enough to barbaque.

me and my husband contacted Irma from this site (email igoder@hotmail.co.uk) and she was more than helpful. She was very informative about a lot of things in Georgia and was prompt to write us back. We stayed at her house in Tbilisi, also in Sighnaghi (Eastern Georgia, Kaketi.) and we enjoyed it very much. We paid 50$ for a house, which is a well kept, clean and furnished 2 storey house in Tbilisi centre and has vine trees in the yard too. It is very cool in Summer for its location and was the best choice we made to stay in June. We were picked up from the airport by a taxi and met his brother who was very handsome too:) His brother help us for few days and showed us around and was a good help to have him as a guide. (took us to many places on local transport, and we saved quite a lot on taxis too). I would reccoment this place to anyone who is travelling to tblisi and would like to stay at a house and save money too. I think her phone number is +447740998801 (Irma lives in the UK and called us in Tbilisi to check how we liked the place etc)
2 storey detached house. Close to the centre, supermarket(5 mins walk) and the pharmacy. Both open all day/night. Cheaper than hotels and agency bookings. I just saw that house posted on this site, I stayed there last year, I must say it exceeded my expectation. great people, great house, and most importantly worth of every penny. I heard about it through a colleague who worked in Goergia and stayed there, he was pleased with the house too. I would recommend it to anyone, who is daring to find an accomodation not in expensive hotels, this house has anything you would wish, and is rather cosy, comfortable, and its owners, who live 30mins away are very attentive too. I have not used the student sisters as guides, but they were there when I arrived, and answered any questions I had. They seemed pleasant and friendly. On my last day I was invited to their family home in Signagi and it was great too. I think they let that house too.
hospitality, the lady Irma, who is very helpful, and informative. the house is very clean, and guest house like. is close to the centre.
