I am considering to visit Georgia this summer during a round-trip through Turkey and neighbouring countries. I want to see and take pictures of a lot of nice and interesting places. But above all I would like to meet other VTs on the way.
1. Who of you is living in Georgia and will be around in summer to meet for a drink and chat?
2. Who is travelling around the area and would like to meet somewhere are maybe travel together for a while
3. Where do you recommend to go? What to see? Anything to keep in mind or to avoid?
Georgia ix Extremely beautiful country.
Visit Tbilisi of course. Kura river banks r bvery pictiuresque.
Also make a trip to Mzheta, there is a great monsatery there, very ancient.
When in Tbilisi, try "Lagidze waters", it's network of restaurants founded by Georgien entre[reneur, he was fan of making soft drinks. Those drinks r the best, coca cola can't even be compared.
Geogian wines r alsogreat, try them.
And go to Bazaleti lake, it's a big lake in mountains, the view is gorgeous.
Caucasus mountains r the most beautiful in Europe.
And try local cuisine but just bear in mind that it is very spicy.
Enjoy Georgia
Hi. I am Georgian myself and if you plan to come to Tbilisi from Turkey you might think of coming in from Eastern Turkey. This part used to be the Georgian terrtory and it still retains some of Georgia' really beautiful churches. And nature there is just great. To see the key sightseeings there you will need 4-5 days.
You might wana see some pictures. I have it on my cite:
