Hotel Varazi

Stayed in a single room 6 nights in mid-October 2007. Clean and adequate rooms, staff all very helpful and spoke English well which is important if your Georgian is very poor as mine is - we would book taxis etc. through them and get them to transcribe our instructions directly for the cabbie.

Simple breakfast served up until 10am, smallbar open tol 23:20

Unique Quality: Very good location on Kostavas (continuation of Rustaveli) and great for pubs and clubs of Akhvledani. However, the traffic noise was a problem ALL NIGHT to a greate or lesser extent for everyone in our party - in Tbilis you are obliged to peep the horn when your hand is on the steering wheel, it seems !

Directions: Just the far side of Rustaveli Avenue from Freedom Square.
