Shayan Hotel: WORST Hotel in the WORLD
1.) Never stay in this Hotel.
2.) I and one of the male receptionists agreed on a price for a room for a night (price bit higher than what is written from their room tarriff, since he mentioned it's peak season) and when I already checked into the room (back yard room), I was informed by other front desk officer that a higher price is billed (than what was agreed). Went to reception quickly with my luggage after knowing and it took them a year before they were able to return my passport because they keep on insisting for me stay.
3.) There is one instance where receptionists speak fast arabic with each other while you are in front of them and you'll catch eventually the idea that what they are arguing about is how much to charge you for your stay. SCARY!
4.) Be very cautious in getting private cars offering land transfer around KISH for a minimal cost. I was in at that time and I later discovered that the car driver is asking for percentage to Shayan Hotel for bringing me there (The car lift driver suggested Shayan Hotel to me)..
Unique Quality: You can see this Hotel stands tall from a far because its a few storey high building. When I checked in- they walked me through the back door, going out at the back yard where few "villa rooms" like apartments are and they want me to stay in one of them. No one was in any of the villas and the place is dark. All villas are about a hundred steps away from the hotel building but still in the premise of hotel compound. All guests are in the main hotel building at that time, and no one is checked in in any of the villas. Wonder why they opted to give me a back door villa room. I can pay rooms which are in hotel main building, its a company all expense paid, anyway!

6.) Restaurant at second floor with acceptable foods (bit pricey than what you can get)

Sara Hotel: Nice and Clean
1.) Very comfortable to stay in.
2.) Hotel building is newly constructed (year 2007), pool and other hotel facilities not yet erected but construction started.
3.) Very accommodating hotel receptionists (some took few photos with me - seen on my Kish primary page)
4.) Big rooms, nice toilets, comfortable beds.
5.) No cable network yet by the time I checked-in. Only local arabic tv programs are available.
6.) Mouth watering foods for buffet breakfast (8-10am), though I came for breakfast very late (about 7 minutes before 10am) and all is being kept, but still one waiter kindly arrange a plate of foods and a cup of coffee for me.
7.) Price as I remember is 400 UAE dirhams (year 2008) / night (including sumptous breakfast)

Arian Hotel: Arian Hotel
We stayed there for 3 nights.(we had a 3 bedded room).I'd stayed in that hotel before.(4 bedded). The rooms are pretty good and clean, large enough, with a small refrigerator,a TV,bathroom with shower and everything and also a wardrobe. The rooms are pretty comfortable.
It has a good lobby too, and a cafe, i think the prices were about the average. I had a cup of coffee for 15000 Rials.
The tour we'd got, also included breakfast and lunch for 3 days.
The hotel's restaurant was also a good one.The breakfast was self serviced and really perfect. u could have tea, juice, nescafe, milk, bread, sausage, omelet, egg, honey, jam, butter and cheese and etc, lol. ;)
The breakfast time was from 8 till 10 am.
The lunch was really good too.(the lunch time was from 12:30 till 3 pm, i think.)
The dinner time was from 8:30 till 11:30)
Everyday at 4 pm , they had a tour around the island that u could join if u liked.
It's also near a gym,Kart racing piste,a park and some good shopping centers.
Other facilities:
Laundry
Mini bar
Wireless internet connection
The staff were also fine.
It was a comfortable hotel i think,we're satisfied and i liked it.
*(The hotel itself doesn't have a website, but u can find some information about that in the website i put here)
Unique Quality: Clean rooms, wireless internet connection

Khatam Hotel
When I entered Khatam Hotel it was full of Indian workers from Dubai having breakfast. As there were only men I was not sure this was the right place for me. But I did not know where else to go as there are not many cheap hotels on Kish. I asked for a single room and they said it was IR 340 000. I said it was too expensive for me and showed the price in Lonely Planet, IR 200 000. They said it was an old price, but I could get the room for IR 200 000.
The room was not big, but had two beds, a small bathroom, air-condition and a TV with BBC News (but the picture and sound was not always too clear). It was not very clean but as I asked for new sheets I got completely new ones, from the package. There were no towels and no toilet paper (but tissues).
Breakfast is included in the price and starts at 8.00 when the fresh bread arrives (if you want to eat breakfast earlier you will get yesterdays bread). There is also lunch and dinner for about IR 20 000, including a big bottle of water. The restaurant is Indian so the food is a bit spicy, hot.
The staff is very friendly and helpful (also two women are working in the reception) and speaks good English. If you need a taxi they will call one and it will arrive immediately.
Telephone calls within Kish are free and for a call to Shiraz I paid IR 2500. Half an hour on Internet was IR 5000.
A big water bottle was IR 2000.

Falooj Hotel 2: Cheapish hotel
As Kish acts as a sort of 'holding pen' for UAE ex-pat workers getting visa extensions, there is a couple of hotels set up for them to stay cheap.
Some of them allow dormitory style accom for 30 AED's per night. The dorm rooms are typically 3 to 4 per room.

kish hotels: The accommodations
The accommodations and restaurants on the island are expensive comparing to the mainland. It has nice villas, hotels, and guesthouses
Kish's top hotels cater the best, offering a perfect combination of business
and leisure facilities. Attractive service and outstanding cuisine can be
expected and most of the restaurants entertain the guests with live music.
