    Esteghlal is football team with blue shirt and very powerful and lovable and the same as it Esteghlal Hotel is very big and expensive , it is in Chamraan Exp . you can go to it with pay 5 - 7 $

    It have a graet views etc and have so much facilities

    If you are looking for a cheap place you must search around Emam khomeini sq. Near Tehran Bazar in the south Downtown but they are some middle rage hotels in downtown near Valiasr sq. (for example Kosar hotel ) i know a Lux o ne near down town called "hotel
    bozorge Tehran" (tehran grand hotel 3stars)
    if you are looking for a luxirouse one you can get Homa (EXE Sheraiton) , Esteghlal (Exe Hilton) , Azadi (exe Hyaat) if you want to stay in luxuriouse way but in downtown you can stay in Laleh
    IF..............you can not find any rooms
    do not worry at all
    you can stay in all of Iranians houses

    This hotel is OK. Not great, just OK. You get a reasonable price, a clean room and a basic Iranian toilet and shower. You don’t pay a lot, so don’t expect too much. The staff were nice and the one meal (breakfast) I had in the hotel was nice. You can reserve a room and negotiate a discount via email. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the hotel is secure. They even have a computer/internet you can use in the lobby as well as CNN on the lobby TV. I did find the location a little far to walk to everything though.


    It does have very good small refrigerators in the rooms for keeping cold drinks.

    Omid hotel with 24-hours reception service located in the northern part of Tehran, is the nearest hotel to Mehrabad international airport, bus terminal and the railways. It's just a few minutes from the Valiasr shopping complex, carpet museum and the Laleh park. It has single rooms, double room and suits with Air conditioning and central heating, Color TV, Central video system, Stereo music system, Phone, Fridge and etc., Restaurants :
    From 6:30 - 10:30 you can have your self-service breakfast. From 12:30-14:30 lunch is served. Dinner is served between 19:00 and 22:30.

    The Mashhad Hotel is located in the southern part of Tehran, but it's not far from Imam Khomeini Square and the Metro stop. It's not a nice zone, just full of mechanic and tyres shops.

    I asked for a single but they gave me a three bed bedroom. The bed and pillows were all clean, but the room was hot and there were a lot of mosquitos. There are two shared toilet (a bit dirty) and a shower.

    The cost for a single is 60000 rials per night, the breakfast is not included.
    Be aware the check out time is at 2PM; I arrived at 4AM in the morning and they charged me the entire night.

    It is one of the cheapest places in Tehran with a good overall quality.

  • This place is in a great area meaning that nothing is far away from its area and it is located off Ferdosi st. This hotel is quiet, clean and the rooms have fridges soft beds and Western toilets. There is a small bedroom and there is English spoken. The price is a bit much for the standard but it is tough to match for location. Good upper budget option.

    English spoken, location and there is small restaurant if you dont want to go back outside to face the madness of Tehran.

    This is a 50 room hotel, Isolated from the nearby city by a high way. It has quite and relaxing atmosphere. We spent 10 days in the hotel during the Asain Cities Chess Championship. The Staff spoke English and were very friendly. There are 2 resturants and a breakfast area. The breakfast was very good. The ground floor resturant was better (it offered sheesha and was very busy on the weekend) . There is a gym, sona, Tennis court and a pool. you can ask for a hotel taxi but I thought it was expensive. Mirdamad metro station is about 2 Km away, just turn left after you get out of the hotel gate and walk along the High way and you'll see it.

    Rooms were ok with TV (CNN, BBC and Al-Jazeerah) but it is not worth a 85/115 US $ for S/D. private Bath rooms were clean. A/C and heater was working fine. Laundery service was good. its ideal for any one with a car.

    It is interesting to know that this Hotel used to be a prison for high ranking Iraqi generals captured during the war. This was due to the fact that if one of them was successful in escaping there will be no near by houses or place to hide. The Hotel is cut out of the ciy by the surrounding Highway

    We stay in Hotel Omid the first day we were in Tehran. The rest of the time we spent in my friends house. Hotel Omid is centrally located not far from the Laleh Park. Its a very good hotel, rather cheap too. However I cant exactly remember how much we paid there.

    We stayed at the Vanak apt. Hotel in the north of Tehran.

    It is ALWAYS good to have someone that speaks the language and knows 'normal prices'. The Vanak Hotel is an appartment hotel where we stayed in appartments for four persons. We payed around 80$ per appartment, but this was after one Iranian friend of ours helped us to negotiate the price.

    The appartments were very big however, so it wouldn't have been any problems to put som madrasses on the floors, or extra beds, to lower the prices.

    The people at the hotel speak okay English.
