Spartan Living: Back to the early days of OIF
Tallil and Cedar are both throwbacks to the early days of OIF. There is a mix of hard buildings abandoned by the Iraqi military which have been renovated, trailers fondly called CHUs (Contanerized Housing Units), and tents. I have slept in all three and a bunker while at these two camps.
You really get to know you neighbors! You can hear them, see their nakedness in the common latrines and smell them after a long hard day. It takes patience and tolerance to live in these environs.
