Hotel Miami: Ashdod's Absolute Worst

We were in Ashdod, Israel to attend a wedding and were concerned about staying in Ashkelon due to the distance involved (since we didn't have a car). The hotel was a complete DUMP! My original instinct was to leave immediately but I compromised with my wife and stayed one night.

The next day we moved to Ashkelon and stayed at the Holiday Inn for about the same price. The Holiday Inn was luxurious as compared to the Miami.

Recommendation: Don't ever stay at Hotel Miami. A new hotel is currently under construction in Ashdod and will be available soon (about the beginning of 2010).

One of the two Hotels in the city. The Hotel Orly is nearby and in about the same level of dis-repair.

Local small hotels

Well, I never needed to use hotel here, to go back to Tel-Aviv or Jerusalem from here will take about an hour.
