A Fine Kibbutz Hotel

Shefayim is a fine kibbutz hotel. We stayed there for a weekend convention in early winter (when the water park, which is actually the main attraction, was closed) and enjoyed every minute. We received a spacious room with comfortable beds (even with a third couch bed and an armchair and a small fridge, there was plenty of room to move around); the food was fresh and excellent at every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner), and the landscaping is lovely. Other pluses: lots of free parking, playground equipment for kids on the huge expanses of green lawn, and a nature reserve overlooking the sea (about a 15 minute walk). My one criticism: I'd like to see the bathroom faucets shined up a bit (all they need is a little lime spray).

Unique Quality: This is a good place for a family gathering. There are several banquet and party halls on the grounds of the kibbutz, surrounded by lawns and greenery.
