Nofesh Sapir: Family B&B in Migdal
For our yearly journey to the Jacob's Ladder Folk Festival in Ginnosar, on the Sea of Galilee, we chose to stay overnight in this B&B in nearby Migdal.
Ronit, the landlady, gave us a warm welcome. We were a party of four, and were given a suite consisting of two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchenette and a sitting room. "Nofesh Sapir" also has another, smaller unit, suitable for one couple.
The garden was nicely laid out and well kept, with a wooden swing and some sitting corners in the shade or in the sun.
Our bedroom was comfortable; the kitchenette was not very well equipped. Breakfast is not served in "Nofesh Sapir", and the landlady encouraged us to bring (or cook) our own food. We did so, and had a very enjoyable breakfast in the garden, with a couple of domestic cats imploring us to share our food.

Lev Ha-Moshava: B&B in the Village Center
We stayed in this B&B in Migdal when we went to a music festival on the Sea of Galilee.
Its location is very central, off the main street (hence the name: "Lev Ha-Moshava": Heart of the Village). There are two suites, on the ground floor of the family house. We had our privacy, but in the morning we could hear the family's footsteps upstairs.
Vered, the landlady, welcomed us with a friendly smile. In the morning she prepared a tasty and wholesome breakfast with three kinds of cheese, olives, hard boiled eggs, buns and two kinds of cake.
The suite contained a front room (with an extra bed-settee), a medium-sized bedroom and a large bathroom with a fancy jaccuzi. The problem with is that this ia not really a very romantic "Zimmer" (B&B), so that the jacuzzi with candles around it seems a bit out of place.
A few other issues:
- The driveway is horrendous, steep, rocky and unpaved, so you'd better park outside (there is ample free street parking) and don't even think of driving the car inside!
- This place is definitely unsuitable for diabled persons.
- The price: Although NIS 500 per night is the going price in many Ziimer's (B&B's), in many places you can get a beautiful private cabin for this sum, so "Lev Ha-Moshava" seems a bit overpriced.
