With The Permission of Suleyman the Magnific
In 1558, Doña Gracia, a former marrano Jew, rented the site from Suleiman the Magnificent. She restored the city walls, built a yeshiva and encouraged Sephardi Jews fleeing the Inquisition to settle the city. Tiberias flourished again for a hundred years. It was devastated again, and again resettled by Hassidic Jews.The Hotel is situated very near to Tiberias open market .Staff are friendly and you can stay very comfortably if you are not too sophisticated
The rooms which look inside of the hotel are terrible because the music is loud and its almost impossible to sleep before midnight ...
