There is only a little left of the old city in Tiberias. There is only a little left of the old town wall. In the town wall is there a crusader castle left. The old town walls consist of basalt stones.

This beautiful town is located by the western shore of the famous Sea of Galilee in north eatern Israel. It was given its name in honour of the emperor Tiberius.
I have been to Tiberias but do not remember much. I was there very briefly and a long time ago. I just remember enjoying a relaxing time. My only real memory was the enjoyable boat ride over the Lake Tiberias. I took this picture from our boat over the Sea of Galilee.
