Pilgrim's Hospice in the Old City

Massive rooms with high ceilings and a lot of storage space.

Lovely breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner can be booked as extra options (but I didn't).

No telly but you don't really need it with all of Jerusalem to be explored outside. Also no air-con but I didn't feel like I needed it as the room was very cool and airy.

I would definitely recommend this place. In fact, my parents are now thinking about staying there next year.

Unique Quality: Top marks for location: the Austrian Hospice is right inside the walls of the Old City.

There is a lovely garden where you can sit in the shade an relax. They also have an Austrian-style coffee house where you can order Austrian specialties such as Sachertorte and Apfelstrudel. And coffee of course!

You can also access the roof terrace from where you have an amazing view of the Old City.

In the middle of Via Dolorosa

Unique Quality: Right on Via Dolorosa this is a charming place. Even though it's in the middle of the hassle, it's very quiet as you as you go into a court separated from the street. It is very clean and even have its own little church...
