    The Renaissance Jerusalem Hotel is located near the entrance to the city on the main artery leading to every section of Jerusalem. The Hotel is near the Israel Museum, Bibleland Museum, Science Museum, Central Bus Station, Israel Parliament, International Convention Center and other places of interest. Its a 5 star hotel with helpful staff ( except in Shabbats) and clean comfortably rooms. The restaurants are efficient.Except for the wine list which is very short ...

  • 10 shekels a night !! This hostel is so cheap that you might be wondering if it's clean or not... Well, the place is clean !

    Once you step in, you get to know most of the people. there is a bedouin tent inside and a water pipe !!

    By far the nicest hotel in Jerusalem. Formerly the Hilton Jerusalem. The hotel is in walking distance of many Jerusalem landmarks and the old city of Jerusalem. Everything in the hotel lives up to Hilton standards still today and the hotel is very well kept. The bathrooms in the rooms are beautiful, and the rooms feel bigger than they actually are. The King David Hotel is also a big and well known hotel that Americans like to frequent but anyone who knows Jerusalem knows that the David Citadel Hotel is much nicer.

    During the winter months the outdoor pool is heated. The lobby lounge overlooks the old city walls which is really breathtaking at night. There is a Cybex Spa & Fitness room in the hotel, and the hotel has a beautiful underground parking lot.

  • Visited this hotel to vet it for our WM08 world meet in Sept. 08 The lobby is impressive, fully (or overly?) decorated in Arabic style. The bedrooms are very basic - think hostel, private room. Some rooms are en-suite. As an example: a double room, ensuite costs US$45 w/bkfst, US$40 w/o Free internet. Breakfast is buffet style. The rooms that I saw were clean. Good security. The staff very friendly and helpful. I have had complaints that they don't always answer their email.

    Excellent location. Friendly staff. Good high ceilings - important in Israel in the Spring and Fall when we have Khamsin (Arabic) or Sharav (Hebrew) desert wind heat waves.
