Stay In A 140 Year Old Monastery
This old monastery, now inn, is very clean, comfortable, and friendly. It is conveniently located near New Gate not far from from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Via Delorosa. As a single woman, I felt perfectly safe there at that time (early 1990s). Current price for a single is 185 ILS according to one internet cite (see below). You can't beat this price. Breakfast is available. I can't remember if it was included in the price. The one drawback might be that there is an 11 p.m. curfew. For me, this was not a problem.
