Nice hotel. Good location. Great buffet!

Loved staying here when I went to Israel to visit friends and family. Nice location. Easy bus ride into downtown Jerusalem. Plenty of cabs to drive you around. Nice giftshop. Got our room for a good price off EasyClickTravel.com - Great dining room and huge buffet. Highly recommend if you are going to spend a weekend in J-town.

Unique Quality: Nice view. Really comfortable beds. Loved the gift shop - Nice jewelry.

After spending 3 days in the wonderful hotel in Conrad Hotel in Cairo and 4 days in the Hyatt on the red sea on the border in Taba We were looking forward to Jerusalem and staying at the regency. I was extremely dissapointed since we arrived till when we left. It took 10 minutes to find someone to take our luggage from the taxi inside. The room was completely different from the pictures it was from 1970 and the television was very antique which was working wrong and we had to get a maintenance man three times because usually one channel worked. The sleeper bed broke in the middle of the night. The morning when we woke and my wife showered the drains were clogged up to the point she was showering with the level up to her knees. Even the sink was wrong. The pipes must be really bad. I know this property was once part of the Hyatt but if I was The Hyatt Ii would have the name removed so other travelers would expect a two star hotel instead of a quality one. We had a three day stay supposedly and checked out in one day.

Good location and a vey nice hotel.

This hotel is very nice, expensive, but a very nice 5 star hotel. When we take groups to tour Israel, this is our home base for the southern part of the nation. Set just north of the old city, it provides comfortable and well appointed rooms. It is a short cab ride to new Jersalem shere we had the best pizza. If you have an interest in touring this wonderful land we invite you to contact trhough our web site.

More about Hyatt Regency Jerusalem

Nice Hotel in a quiet location

by stamporama about The Regency Jerusalem Hotel

Generally pleasant. Certainly recommendable. The area of the hotel however is not in a shopping district so nothing to buy or go to by walking. Shopping areas are about 15 mins. away by taxi. Great buffet selection for both breakfast and dinner. Rooms are nice and comfortable but the hotel does not have separate smoking and non-smoking sections which is why we transferred to another room upon check-in because the first one they gave had a strong smoke odor.
