A good hotel in the center of Beer Sheba
I spent 2 days in Beer Sheba (a professional meeting) and stayed overnight in the Golden Tulip Negev. My colleagues in Tel Aviv raised an eyebrow: stay in a hotel in Beer Sheba? Is there anywhere decent to stay at all? Isn't it better to drive 100 km back to Tel-Aviv?..
Well, I've got news for them (and for you): Yes, there is a nice 4-star hotel in Beer Sheba. It is centrally located, 5 minutes from the Ben Gurion University, the shopping mall, the Soroka Medical Center. My room on the 11th floor was nice and quiet, with a sweeping view of the city. Service was very good, and the staff was smiling, helpful and eager to please. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, in the best tradition of Israeli hotels. There was a nice bar as well.
I did not try the swimming pool, but it looked quite inviting.
