    One of Eilats biggest and most beautiful hotels.
    Its ranked as 5 stars with 420 rooms in it, built like a pyramid.

    Situated just near the Lagoon of Eilat, a really beutiful place. It was the first luxury hotel at the north shore of Eilat, it was built in the midddle of the 80's of the 20th century by a British investor.

    This is a very popular hotel which is not that close to the beach front, but it doesn't make a difference because they have a beautiful swimming pool and you can even order Burgeranch by the pool. I felt as if the rooms were a bit small and the bathrooms were a little bit dated and could use some remodeling. I would only recommend this hotel to someone who can't afford one of the luxury hotels, or if there are no openings at the bigger newer hotels.

    One of the most unique qualities of the hotel is the food by the pool. Usually people are trying to lose pounds by the pool but with the Burgeranch sign sitting right in front of your eyes, it is way to tempting to say no. The hotel restaurants are also very good. I was unable to find rates though that were not half board so the rates I put per person are based on half board.

    I stayed at this hotel in June 2009. It was my first time at a hotel that belongs to the Isrotel hotels chain and I have only positive things to say. The hotel was very high standard, very clean, the staff was efficient and helpful. The room was fantastic with an extra large bed, a balcony, minibar, coffee+ tea making facilities and a very nice bathroom. The food at the the dining room (we had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel) was very fresh and good. At the dinner the cooks stood there by the buffets and cooked everything in front of our eyes. The hotel has several swimming pools and they have Burger Ranch beside the pool, with regular Burger Ranch prices and not 'hotel prices'.
    I would definitely go back to this hotel and I am sure that in future I will chose an Isrotel hotel again.

    Very efficient check in and check out - no need to stand in a queue even though we arrived at
    'the rush hour'.

    Herods Palace is probably the most beautiful building in Israel. The architecture is amazing and the whole complex is like from Thousand and One Nights. The complex has three hotels which are all connected with bridges: Herods Palace, Herods Forum and Herods Vitalis. Vitalis is a SPA hotel, Forum is the business wing and Palace serves as a family hotel. I stayed at Forum for three nights in December 2006. The architectural experience was great but the service of the staff was REAL bad, which was really amazing for such a beautiful building and to think that it belongs to international chain of Sheraton hotels. I don't easily complain about service, but in this case I must. The food was good, but again the staff at the dining room was unprofessional and 'sleepy'.
    The stay was paid by work so I cannot tell about the prices.
    Recommendation: If you want a real 5 star experience in Eilat, go to Royal Beach Isrotel or Hilton Queen of Sheba which are nearby and I have heard that the service is professional*****.
