Hotel Masada: hotel to suit a range of budgets

This hotel also has YHA affiliation so rooms that can be shared at lower prices

Dining rooms were good - buffet

Just a few minutes below the cable car up to Masada - there is a small museum at the cable car station along with a movie to watch to provide introductory information before arriving at the vast complex on the top of the mountain.

Excellent to have a pool.

Best to have your own transport here - as quite a way off the track and a way from areas of Dead Sea activities. There is a fence that surrounds the hotel and someone to take guard.

Masada guesthouse and hostel: Masada guesthouse and hostel

This is the only place to stay i think, thats near the mountain.
its a huge place with many many rooms - and could be classed as a hotel.
its full of schoolkids but the staff try to seperate their rooms to travllers.

it cost 388 shekels for a double room for one night which included a buffet breakfast.

breakfast is great and you can eat as much as you like which is great

it has a swimming pool which wasnt busy.

i tihnk it had a bar too but we arrived too late.

its a 5min walk to the start of the snake path that goes up the mountain.
