 | Daniel And Spa: The best hotel in Herzelya

This was the third time I stayed in a hotel in Herzelya and I must admit the best! Hotel Daniel is a complex of two hotels, the good old Daniel and Shizen, the SPA hotel which are one beside the other. We stayed in the the good old Daniel for three nights and really enjoyed it all. The room was nice, with a sea view, fridge, TV, kettle and supply of choice of teas and coffee, a possibility for ordering movies, computer games and Internet (with added cost). When we arrived we had some fruit with compliments of the manager waiting for us - nice thought! Our stay was half pension. We had good breakfasts at the Hemingway restaurant downstairs (see restaurant tips) and for dinners we went to Lobistro restaurant at the lobby and could order anything from the menu (eat as much as you want from the menu!) as there were not enough guests that had dinner at the hotel and that is why there was no buffet dinner at the Hemingway restaurant and this was great as we really ate good meals.
We also went to the SPA at Shizen, that was not included in the stay, but it cost only 50 NIS (Dec 2007) and the SPA had a big swimming pool, Finnish Sauna, Turkish Sauna, Jacuzzi and possibilities for massage and beauty treatments (for extra cost of course). I enjoyed a good swim, jacuzzi and Turkish sauna. Another nice thing about Hotel Daniel is that there is a small cinema in the same building (entrance from outside) and that is not only for the hotel guests. Hotel guests get a reduction for tickets. We went to see a wonderful French film ROMAN DE GARE by Claude Lelouch. The hotel is by the beautiful Hertzelya beach and I enjoyed early morning walks there - it was too cold for swimming even though some tough guys do swim there early morning.
