Try the Cinema Hotel in Tel Aviv. 45 minutes from the airport. Nice boutique hotel in a great location.

hotel in Tel Aviv

As far as i know there is no hotel near the airport, you'll have to take a taxi to Tel Aviv and stay at one of the hotels there.
The cinema hotel is nice indeed but if its only for afew hours you can take something cheapper and which is easier to get to, maybe by the sea in the yarkon street where there are a few small hotels that you can use.
ty to check my Tel Aviv page an d see if anything is inetresting you.
Also check www.inisrael.com

Good Luck

The train is the best option from the airport to Tel Aviv - 15 minutes.

The closest hotel to the airport is Avia hotel, 5km from the airport. See: http://www.inisrael.com/avia/index.html. Even though you can just go to Tel-Aviv and spend there several hours.

Family Hotel Close to Ben Gurion

by Leonick

Any suggestions on a reasonably priced hotel close(ish) to the airport? We are booked on an 8am flight from Ben Gurion.

Thanks All

There is no need to change hotels the night before your flight. If you are in Tel Aviv it is a 20 minute ride or so to the airport. If you are already in Jerusalem it is a 30-40 minute ride. Even someplace like Netanya is all of 45 minutes. Ben Gurian operates 24 hours a day and everyone manages without a hotel 5 minutes away. You will to and be surprised at how easy it is.

Agree with the above. Unless you are coming from Eilat or the far north of Israel you really don't need a differnet hotel for the one night.

If you really want one, there is an airport hotel, with shuttle, called the Avia. (Not recommended)

If coming from Jerusalem, don't take a private taxi, they are expensive. Use Nesher sherut. This is a group taxi that pick you up at your hotel and delivers you to the airport, 24/7. Your hotel will make the reservation for you.

Any hotel in Tel Aviv (the city) would be a good choice for a place to pass the night before an early morning flight: that’s what locals sometimes do, and surely would have done much more had hotels here wouldn’t have been so expensive (cost for a taxi for 4 people from the far north would sometimes cost almost as much as a night at a hotel in Tel Aviv…). There are a few places that are closer to Ben Gurion airport, but only in a few miles and in the early AM it is meaningful in terms of saving time. These places are the Avia hotel in Yehud (poor quality), the “Sadot” hotel of the Atlas chain (Near the Assaff Harofe hospital – some 12 minutes drive from the airport: a brand new business type of hotel) and several “Zimmers” in Mishmar Hashiv’a village (some 5 minutes drive from the airport). All are neither too cheap nor time saving.

We are staying in the south near Eilat, so we face the choice of a $250 taxi ride to the airport in the middle of the night or booking two rooms in a hotel in Tel Aviv.

I think we'll stay put and take the taxi - in money and time it would work out about the same.

Thanks for your help!
