Pretty disgusting
Located towards the 'bottom' (ie northern) end of Ben Yehuda, between Ben Gurion and Arlozarov, the Ben Yehuda Apartments were a massive disappointment.
Admittedly it was a last minute booking for a peak period, and pretty cheap all things considered ($A140 per night), the price highlighted the difference between what you get for your money in Australia against Tel Aviv.
To be honest, it's one step up from a hostel.
Unique Quality: There are two buildings to the Ben Yehuda Apartments, and the main one is definately the better of the two, images from which are the ones used on the website to promote. They are more expensive options and book up quickly.
The room I stayed in was an 'apartment' which involved nothing more than a sink and cooker with fridge, total width about 1 metre, pushed away in the corner. No preparation space if you wanted to cook, little storage. Fairly clean but in the 2 weeks I was there, room was never cleaned once (I even went looking to have it cleaned, beds changed - something!).
Not a place I would recommend, although I understand it is popular for budget holidays. Do not expect the apartments featured on the website unless specifically booked into it.
