Street Sculpture
by Jackiekg
Dizengoff is one of the best known streets in Tel Aviv. It is a long street, running from the Habima Theatre all the way to Yirmiyahu Street north Tel Aviv, near the old Tel Aviv Port. This street is not what it used to be - it is now quite run down, but it does have atmosphere. The northern part has turned into an area for brides searching for the right wedding dress and designer clothes for others. Another part of the street has many shoe shops. Also in this street can be found sculptures and the one in the picture can be found on the corner of Dizengoff Street and Frishman Street. I passed there one day and there it was! There isn't a placard there, so I can't write about who the sculpter was or what it represents. I also don't believe many people take much notice of it. But I think it adds to the character of the street.
tel aviv

this night I took this pic, I was trying to find my way back to Jerusalem and I drove around the city for at least 3 to 4 hours just trying to find my way outta this city, I took a day drive to tel aviv from Jerusalem and this was my first time in Israel, the worst thing about it was that it was shabbat and most shops were closed, I found this arab meat shop open and the guy didn't speak english, he couldn't understand Jerusalem, after a few times of trying I finally said yerushalayim and he understood that name, he pointed out which way to go and then after that I finally got out of the darn city, it sure seems easy to find a way out but for some reason I found myself going in circles. Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, as i've heard every morning starting at 7 am, while staying at the Faisal Hostel just outside the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, the Taxi callers always screaming when frustrated cause of no one answering the call, yelling at the crowd telling everyone that their taxi's headin to Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv
The oldest port
by Nathalie_B
The port of Jaffa is the oldest still-operating port in the world and it has connections to both Bible and Greek mythology. In this place Jonah was swallowed by a whale, and remained there for three days and three nights, and Adromeda was saved by Perseus from the sea monster.
Walk around, it is old and it looks like this. Don't forget to take a picture of Tel Aviv, the port is the best spot to do so.
Judaism on the wall
by inuit
While you stroll the small streets of Neve Tzedek you will see on the walls posters with script from the Bible and Tora; in the last ten years we have many small schools teaching the Kabala and other sections of Judaism. I took this photo because i liked the old Hebrew fonts and the old color of the wall and window bars.

Flip Flops, sun glasses and sun blocking cream!!! pretty much California weather. Hot between Feb and early Sep. There are modern (western starndarts) venues in TLV. Make sure you have lots of patience... the people are friendly, sometime toooo friendly.
