Popular with Pilgrims to the Holy Land

HIgh rise hotel less than 100 metres from the beach and a step away from the busy Ben Yehuda St (Allenby St end).

It's functional, the rooms are big, comfortable if lacking atmosphere - the typical medium hotel popular with group bookings. There's an outdoor rooftop pool and friendly enough without being particularly memorable. I have no complaints - you get what you pay for, it's in a great location and it's clean and efficient.

Unique Quality: Try and get a room on the higher floors, if nothing else for a great view across the city and/or sea. The breakfast room is on the small side and somewhat anodine - that functional mass market look. But staff very friendly and helpful.

Idea Hotels near the Beach.

Of all the hotel in Israel I stayed in, I always managed to hire one with a nice restaurant below so I don't waste time looking for high price and low quality meal. So this hotel had one, very nice service and with a smile.

Unique Quality: When we arrived at the hotel our room with a view of the Mediterranean Sea was ready and our luggage & bags were already in the rooms, just remarkable services.

Cinema or Metropolitan hotel - Tel Aviv?

by Nefertari1

Has anyone stayed at these Hotels recently or are there any locals who can offer any info. Good location, clean not too shabby etc.. Any advice would be appreciated good or bad.
Thanx for your help.

Both are good for the value hotels. Metropolitan is one block from the sea – its kind of a conference hotel: not small and offers standard rooms and facilities. Cinema is a true boutique hotel. It is located in Dizengof circ. Which is central TLV – rather close to the main commercial areas. As you could read, it was built in, and inspired by, the old cinema that used to exist in the building, which makes the stay there for an adventure for itself. Rooms are brand new but small, breakfast is nice and they have this terrace on the upper floor with a sauna, sun beds and refreshments. For similar prices, I would have taken cinema.

I'd definitely go for the Cinema Hotel for all the mentioned reasons
and its also central but not far from the sea.
Its a realy lovely butique hotel.
I was actually trying to book a room there for a guest that is coming to
train the stuff at my company and there are no available rooms there, Not that i remember other time that i called and they had any... so if you would like to
book a room there then better don't wait for the last minute.

Sharon.

I stayed at the Cinema Hotel and I highly recommend it, apart from the surly Russian male at the reception desk, I was treated very nicely and the rooms were small but nicely fitted.

Cheers
