Interesting projects

Bench project. It's been a few years since Tel Aviv Municipality started asking different artists to participate in a special project along the streets of Tel Aviv.
For instance, last year many penguins were located at street corners and sidewalks of the city in a celebration of the street environment. After 3 months of open-air exhibition the Penguins were sold in a public auction. The money collected was used to install new computers at kindergartens and schools.
This year the project is - benches. At the end of Summer all the benches will be returned to their creators for renovations and then sold. Next year, I'm sure, they'll come up with something new. In the meantime, enjoy our benches with their different shapes and colors, that can be found everywhere in Tel Aviv.
Along the beach you will find...

Along the beach you will find a few cafés/restaurants serving pork-chops. Or as we often did - had our breakfast at “BUS STOP”, a party place at night and a superb early-breakfast place for us (bacon and eggs). When you have stayed on the West Bank for over a year it is pure luxury to have some pork-specialities.

The City was very nice to walk around in. One advise to you who have not been here before : Never just pay the price at the market places. ½ price is typical what you have to pay - if you know how to make a deal.
Taam Hair
by edvin_br
Every year since 1996, at the end of May the "Taam Hair" food festival takes place.
The location is at Ganei Yehoshua (huge park), just near the exhibition center.
For a few days, the most famous restaurants of Tel Aviv can be found in the park. You can find there some great hamburgers or good steaks, food from the far east, amazing deserts and a lot of beer... :]
Its one of the most famous festivals in Tel Aviv, many people come around every year. The accessibility is great with many bus lines pass by and the University train station is located 5 minutes from the park.
you do need a sweater!
by Katusa
Some people say warm clothes are not needed - but if you for example plan to travel by bus or spend time inside a building bring a sweater or something like that - a lot of people here go crazy with the air condition and you might catch a cold...
