I stayed here for two nights in 2000 on a business trip. It is a nice hotel, the room was a bit small, but who cares as it was for sleep only. The view was beautiful, to the sea. The meals were good but the food was a bit cold at each meal. And it was the same the year later when I stayed at Bet Maimon Hotel but had meals (except breakfast) at Carmel Gardens. I hope they have solved the problem by now... But I remember that they had very good dry Martini at the bar.
I returned to Zichron Yaakov on another business trip on 2001. This time I stayed at Hotel Bet Maimon and only went for the business meetings to Carmel Gardens Hotel. Bet Maimon is lovely and highly recommended. It has a nice atmosphere and the service is great. The breakfast was wonderful and it was brought to the table. I remember the very good omelettes. Unfortunately I was there in winter time and it was too cold to sit on the beautiful verandah.
