Good For Solo
4 stars for lobby, 1 star for room
Arriving there after our first shock at the Farah hotel felt good. Security at the entrance, staff to carry our luggage, air conditioning, a lobby that looked pretty impressive and awesome. Besides us being on the road for already 14 hours by then and just wanting to shower and sleep. The staff was very friendly and we went to the room pretty fast. Room size was acceptable, TV, minibar, and watermaker made us feel better. But then the bathroom...Jordan´s problem No.1 obviously. It was not dirty but never renovated since the first day. Showerhead clogged, stains around the sink and shower...it was just very old and used. But being sooooo tired we dropped dead anyway. For 120 JD/night we did not want to stay longer, so after breakfast (which was okay, not more, only okay) we left again.
Smaller room than average as per service
I stayed there a couple of nights in 2002.
The rooms are smaller than average which is not convenient at all. They probably have a european size but well, we are in Mideast where a "small" room is 25 m² ++.
The service is very average too and the hotel concierge managed to lost one of my luggage I asked him to store in the cloakroom. Never get any compensation for that.
I paid 35 JOD for a night including breakfast. I guess it is now at least 50 JOD but it's not worth it !
