Amman

The Toledo Hotel is located at Abdali Bus Station, its back door faces the bus station, while its front doors are one street over set facing an upscale residential neighbourhood. The Lobby is tiled in an Andalusian style, the breakfast room is divided into sections and opens to the street patio. Fresh squeezed orange juice and american brewed coffee is served every morning along with an array of breakfast choices including a Jordanian favourite foul topped with an army of spices and oilve oil. Single room with buffet breakfast 29JD/night. After coming off a transatlantic flight, its worth it and the level of 3* star hotel far exceeds the level of a 2* star or backpackers hotel.

Note: I didn't have the chance to use the Health Club Facilities because I was out all day!

The location itself is unmatched, steps away from Abdali Bus Station and the Airport Express Bus. Buses to Madaba (Mount Nebo), Jerash, and Trust and Afana express buses to Aqaba run from here. Downtown is only half JD taxi fare.

Unique Quality: Pool, Sauna and Gym is available for guests. Separate hours of use for men and women.

Surprisingly good bargain

A friend of mine stayed there in May 2005 and was very pleased with this hotel.
He was happy with the room, the facilities, the service and upmost, the price.

I think he paid 25 or 30 JOD a night including breakfast.

The hotel is located right in Abdali station, which can be very convenient if you have to move around by public transport.

My friend did not mention anything about the potential noise coming from the bus/taxi station.

For the next time...

That’s one of the hotels recommended by my guide book. Located close to Abdelli bus station, that’s probably where I would have staid the last night if I had not listen to my colleague. It was also 15JD a night but it was much bigger and looked better as well! They don’t try to absolutely look like a standard business hotel. On the opposite, even if from outside the architecture is quite dull, the oriental style is definitely affirmed inside…
Maybe for a next time!!
