Aqaba is a beautiful city packed with restaurants and shops so it is defenetly worth a visit or two!
I stayed there for 3 nights (11-14 March 2009) and I would recommend it for people who love the beach and are staying in Aqaba but want to relax a little bit from the city.
The breakfast buffet was alright - lots of fresh juices, fresh cut fruit, all kinds of bread/pastry, cerealstation/nuts, traditional arabic breakfast and also live-cooking (omelette - The chef doing them is excellent!)
Uppon arrival we got a few complimentary drinks in the minibar (6 sodas and some water), everyday you will get 2 bottle of waters for free.
For dinner I would recommend either going to the city (its cheaper) or having the beef soup in the lobbyrestaurant.
The service was very uneven, it really depends on who was in charge and who you asked. Some were excellent, others very poor.
Outdoor gym on the beach was nice, the indian SPA I didn't tried though it was very expensive.
5 swimmingpools (2 are heated) and a long nice pieace of the Red Sea which is lovely to swim in.
The rooms are fine.
