Efficient for mass tourism

Beeing confortable in the hotel was not my priority when I was in Petra. Anyway, panorama hotel is big, without any personnal touch or contact, an efficient hotel for mass tourism.
Yes, the panorama is great, overlooking the breath-taking rocky mountains of Petra but our room was noisy, smelt the mould and it missed covers.

So, not positive regardless a 4 stars hotel.

Built From A Former Castle

With the exception of the hotel being so remote, and my not having a choice of any competition or selection of other restaurants (HERE A BOTTLE OF WATER IS $5.00USD), I was satisfied with the physical facilities and friendliness of the staff. This is a georgeos hotel, with an indoor pool, restaurant (buffets mainly) and bar. It was built on the site of a former castle, with the stones from the castle. It would be a great site for a honeymoon getaway where you had no desire to do much except explore each other in beautiful, quiet, remote surroundings. On the downside, the cuisine selections would be severely limited as there is a lot of tour bus traffic so mostly buffets are offered, which do not change much from day to day.
