The Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel is centrally located in the Ain El Mreysseh area of the city and is a modern, clean hotel with good facilities. The rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet. There is complimentary internet in the lobby, an indoor swimming pool and small gym, lounge bar and a small restaurant, small gift shop, hairdresser, car rental and travel agent. Parking, however is charged on a daily basis ($10 per day as I recall) or you can choose metered parking on the street which is quite cheap and free before 8/9am (depending on the area) after 8/9pm. We always found a parking spot on the street, although we sometimes had to park 5 mins away from the hotel, as the area is a busy one. Room rates are quite expensive I found, at around $180 per night and this did not include breakfast - but generally good standard hotels are expensive in Beirut on the whole.
Unique Quality: Free internet, comfortable beds.
Directions: See map on photo link.
We had a good room on the 3rd or 4th floor.
Comfortable for a couple of nights (and more!) and well located.
The staff were efficient and friendly. English was spoken fluently by the clerks.
We had an evening meal and two breakfasts during our stay. The food was good: well-presented, varied and served efficently. My only gripe would be a lack of interest by our servers during our second breakfast.
Be warned, the mini-bar and nibbles are very overpriced!
Our laundery was dealt with whilst we were there: no problems.
My friends stayed at this hotel while I was staying in Crowne Plaza . I went there more than once, it had a great lobby, it was 2 min. walk to Corniche (beach ).
They told me that the standard rooms were small and didn't have a view other than other building. When they asked for changing the rooms , reception had told them that no rooms has a view of the see. It has about 7 floors.
