Mutrah Corniche Hotel

Mutrah Corniche Hotel in was one of the cheapest hotels I found in the Mutrah area of Muscat. One small bedroom with a bathroom. But the hotel is better than you expect of a one star hotel like this. The price was 15 rials (40 USD) for the single bed rooms and 22 rials (60 USD) for double bed rooms. The location on the left side of the harbour is nice and the view from the hotel is good. I was at the hotel, but I didn't stay here. I can recommend this place for a short stay.

Best economical hotel in Muscat

The Corniche is on the Muttrah corniche and just a short mini bus ride (100Bs) from the bus station.
A single room cost just 7 OR.

Budget Hotel

I arrived without a reservation and spent 4 nights at this basic hotel. The reception was pleasant. Don't expect much in the form of luxury (it felt a little like a hostel) but my room was spacious with bathroom and tv and it was quiet enough too. Breakfast included in the price consisted of freshly made omelete and coffee. A very good price for such a prime position in this lovely city. Super location on the corniche in the capital Muscat. An easy short walk to the fish market and the souks.
