i just know two places here in Oman , Muscat and Sohat..in Muscat we have Grand Hyate Hotel, Holiday Inn Muscat, Radison SAS and some other hotels..check this sites it will help http://www.asiatravel.com/oman/

Yes..............in the departure area there is a left luggage area.
Be aware that the check in closes ONE HOUR before departure. Completely. Everything shuts down. So even if you are 5 mins late, you will not get onto your flight.
Follow the sign to the Visa-couter just behind the entrance of the arrival hall, and get your visa on arrival. Make sure to be one of the first because it will be a queue here.... The visa fee is changed from 6 rials to 20 Rials since I was there. You can also change money here. Then go to the immigration, show your passport and the visa-receipt. The immigration officer may ask you how long you will stay and the name of the hotel. So have your hotel ready - or just say a hotel name. Stamp your passport.

It's hot, even in winter here- If you're here in winter just get a light sweater. Muscat is a city- you'll find anything you need here. Bring a camera and film, lots of beautiful scenes. Camping and beachwear. Plenty of nature bonding here.
Some the finest Arabian Horses are available in Oman- you can go horseback riding in the national Qurum Park for a small fee
if you're a professional rider you might preffer to go to the stables at the Seeb Horse Centre.

The local food in Oman is really Indian Curries and so forth. There are other apparent authentic Omani restaurants but I've yet to find one that isn't like an Indian restaurant. There is the some what traditional food like "meat on a stick" that you can buy almost anywhere. consider yourself warned the next day you won't get off the toilet!
