I had booked this hotel after seeing their website and through Oman Air HOlidays, and all of it turned out to be a disaster. There was no one at the Airport and I was told that Majan does not have a shuttle, so had to pay a taxi to get to the hotel . When I arrived here, the front desk staff (local) were unfriendly but the foreign staff were friendly and there was no booking. The manager was kind enough to rectify the situation and i stayed here the night before going back to the airport to catch the flight to salalah.
rooms are okay and in no way luxurious. the fee paid was 100 euros which is not worth it. hot water not available so didnt take a shower! on this cold winters night when the temperature fell down to 14 C
But dont let this deter your impression of this beautiful country. Find another hotel.

The Majan hotel is near the Grand Mosque and it offers 3 or 4 pubs, health club facilites and a swimming pool. It is a bit overpriced in the summer but if you plan on staying for awhile then they will surely discount you. They recently elevated the price by 30% making this out of my weekly range but it is good value. Facilities
I've been searching a cheap(better if <30 USD) hotel in Muscat to stay for a week in May.
Could anyone please give me the bcontact information (better e mail/fax) of such a hotel to book.
It would be an additional advantage if I found a hotel near Royal Hospital, but if not,it would be also OK.

You can get a Majan hotel and it is the closest hotel to the Royal hospital. it is about afew meters walking. But I am not sure about the prices.
