Holiday Hotel
The Holiday Hotel was formerly a Holiday Inn and apart from the name nothing has changed. It is a standard Holiday Inn: a 100-room concrete block with big, comfortable rooms and a nice outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have good quality beds. The hotel's Sports Bar offers a snooker table, 'live' English and Italian football on a big screen TV and a variety of draught beers, including Guinness. There is a decent buffet breakfast, including an assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, pork sausages, bacon and egg. The staff, drawn mainly from the Philippines and India, are very helpful and friendly.
The one problem with this hotel is its location 15 km from the city centre, altough some might see the fact that it is roughly half way between the airport and the city centre as an advantage.

good value
Close to main road so it was easy to get service taxis off the street, and also had some shops only 5 mins walk away (internet cafe, restaurant, dairy etc).
Unique Quality: The hotel had it's own internet facilities (limited hours though), a really nice swimming pool, and the gym was modern and well-equipped.
We got a really good rate through a promotional offer being run by Oman Aviation for Jeddah.
