Not Thursday Night
This was an ok hotel, and quite good value. Located in Qurum, it's near the beach, but a bit far from downtown. But don't stay on a Thursday night. The 2nd floor (3rd level) restaurant is converted to a noisy Bollywood nite club until 3am, and the sound travels!

Holiday Villa Hotel
The Holiday Villa Hotel is one of the good budget hotels in Muscat. It is located near to the beautiful Qurum Beach (about 10 minutes walk) and the rooms are nice, comfortable and with all the usual stuff you would expect. The lobby is also very well decorated and the staff are friendly.
