    While I didn not have the opportunity to stay at the Sheraton while I was in Qatar, I did visit it on occasion. It is an ideal setting for any buisness traveller conducting buisness in the city as it is full of anything you could ask for. It stands out on the Doha skyline as a very unique "pyramid" shaped building. The interior is spacious and unique. The facilities can be used by non-residents and the staff is exceptionally helpful. There are a number of cafe's and restaurants to choose from as well as a few gift shops.

    We stayed there in 2003, it was an outdated hotel with look and smell of 70s.
    I'm not sure whether it was renovated since then, but that experience was not really pleasant.
    Another strange thing was a long step dividing our room from wall to wall.
    Covered with dark red carpet it was almost invisible and so pretty dangerous.

    I never actually spent the night here, but I visited a few times and had some time to enjoy the pool and resort area......

    The pyramid shape of the Sheraton hotel was one of the first prominent buildings of the Doha skyline. It is modeled after an ancient Mesopotamian Ziggurat, and is a great local landmark.
