» More Qatar Destinations | Qatar Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 44 | | We got some discount through my friend's company, and had requested a room on the upper floor, non-smoking, and preferably with seaview. This was exactly what we got! We got a room at the 21st floor (out of 26) and a panorama view over the sea! It was absolutly breathtaking! The room itself was very spacious, with two king sizes beds, a LCD tv, and a small 'seperate' kitchen. I would have expected a bathtub on a 5* hotel though, but since we wouldnt have got the time to use it anyway, I have no reason to complain about that ;) The pool area on the 26st floor is wonderful! Not crowded (the 3 times we were the there were no one else). The pool could have been a bit deeper. Also here you got the seaview... and from the Jacuzzi (which was broken the the last day we were there) there is the greatest view over the Corniche, sea, and the westbay. The staff is really friendly and always ready to help... Only disappointment is the Lobby, it does not at all look like a lobby at a 5* hotel...! Leave a Comment

Fairly good service; though the obsequious bell boys can be tiresome First - rate rooms, decents bars/restaurants

This hotel is free during one or two nights (as was my case) for transit passengers from the Middle East to Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc.) or vice versa. They will also give you three meals a day and you can chose whatever you like from the menu, and can even bring you the meals to your room. Customers are all from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Philippines, etc, that is, workers in Kuwait, Arabia or UAE. The hotel is centrically located, close to the bazaar and the lovely corniche. All rooms have television and refrigerators with drinks (but no alcohol).

The alternative to hotels on a short stay Trapped in Doha Airport? Long layover, but not enough time to get out of the Airport? Or do you just want to look cool being greeted at the Arrivals Hall with your name on a sign held by a beautiful young lady. And you get to jump the entire queue at Security. If that was not all, you get all the food and drink you want, comfortable sofas, free internet services and you can sleep stretched out. The price is economical as well. They say you can only stay 6 hours, but they do not check once you enter. I stayed for 9 hours. The Bad Part • They do not make it easy to book. The booking form is hellish and you have to send a copy of your Credit Card, front and back! AND….. • NO ALCOHOL. How bizarre. You can buy loads in Duty Free which is all of 3 meters from the door. Sneak it in. I did. Just watch out. Some staff enforce the rules more that others! And they do not have a corkscrew for wine. PLEASE NOTE: You can book the Lounge even if you fly Economy ! It's a very simple hotel, you got the necessary things in the rooms and nothing more... but then again the prices are not that high, so I dont think you can expect much more. The rooms were clean, and the hotel located in the center of Doha. I only stayed there for two nights, and I did not see anything else of the hotel than my room and the lobby. This hotel did not really meet our expectations. Well it was cheap and it was ok, but the furniture in the apartment looked old and dirty. I found a few hairs on my pillow, which was not mine! The minibar was not refilled, and the service was not that good... We had a view to the street, which was ok, then we could follow the life in the street. The best thing about this hotel, is the location! It's close to the corniche, about 5 min walk, and you got alot of small shops right outside. Leave a Comment

The hotel is very luxurios, and it's not a cheap hotel, but the service is great!! The resturants on the hotel is very expensive and it's recommendable to eat on one of the other good and cheaper resturants in Doha. The hotel is situated on its own island resort, just outside the city, overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Arabian Gulf. It's hard to get to the city if you dont have a car or wont to take one of the limousine cars, as there is no normal taxis at the hotel.
All rooms have sea or golf course view. A selection of nine restaurants and bars offering fine local and international cuisine. A world-class Spa and modern fitness center. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Two ballrooms, six meeting rooms, a videoconferencing room and a fully equipped business center. 235 slip marina with club house. Leave a Comment

I never stayed at the hotel myself, but was visiting a friend there. It looks like a 5* hotel should look, very luxurious, though not that different from many other hotels in that category. My friend was staying in a suite, and wow what can I say... it was amazing! What can you ask for more than the most wonderful view over the Corniche!?! hmm I bet it was expensive to stay there, but the day I win the lottery I will return to Four Season, and book a suite for a week or two :p It's worth waiting for...
You can find the info you need about the hotel and facilities on their website... Leave a Comment

A few times I have stayed with some of my friends in Doha. Some of them that I have met online, some that are just friends of my friends. I can definatly recommend that, cos you really get the chance to see how the real life is, and how ppl actually lives... It's not the perfect way to stay if you are travelling a whole family, but if you are only yourself, it's a great way to live. Especially if you are staying with someone that can really cook ;) And best of all, it's CHEAP!
okay you might not have the great facilities of a hotel, like fitness room, swimming pool, ocean view and 10 resturants to choose from. But who needs that anyway? :) Leave a Comment Theme: OtherComparison: least expensive
