i have a long history and ties with Hilton Jeddah; have been to many conferences, bazaars, exhibitions and wedding parties in this gorgeous place. i haven't stayed here obviously as i already live in jeddah but have visited friends and colleagues during their stay.

Hilton Jeddah has a very good public reputation, most of jeddah private and governmental events are held here. that's why the security is very tight around this place, which can be a bit annoying!

this hotel consists of two hotels actual; the Hilton Jeddah, and Qasr al Sharq Hilton (Oriental Palace).

the first is more affordable and open for events. the location is superb, right at the corniche, and just 15-min away from central jeddah and Tahlia street or Hera street if you fancy shopping. it's also around 30-min away from al Balad - the old part or historical jeddah.

the lobby is very big, featuring a bridge connecting the two sides of the hotel inside, a beautiful man-made stream, and a lower lobby for exhibits

standard room rate starts at SR700 inclusive of breakfast and go up to SR3000. the staff are friendly and helpful and they treat you like a celebrity

the latter hotel is far more luxurious and may cater for very very VIPs - one night rate starts at SR35,000 up to SR70,000. it includes a luxurious spa and gym, full of beautiful paintings and extravagant decoration. and it's worth having a tea or brunch once in a while if you want to treat yourself.

you still can go to the top floor at the first hilton for dinner and an amazing view of the seashore and jeddah.

you cannot find such a standard affordable rate anywhere else in the world, if you wish to stay in the Hilton.
