Taxi in Makkah

by frahman

Can someone give me an estimate about the taxi fare(without sharing) for the following:

1. Makkah to Madinah
2. Madinah to Jeddah airport.

Jazak Allahu Khairan.

Re: Taxi in Makkah

Makkah to Madinah and Madinah to Jeddah Airport will range from 300 to 500 euros, one way...

SAPTCO runs frequent buses from Makkah to Madinah, and to other destinations; they are reasonably priced, 35 riyals for Makkah to Madinah when I travelled, and reasonably comfortable.

If you have not bought the return tickets yet, then why not ask your travel agent for an open-jaw ticket i.e. you land into Madniah and fly out of Jeddah, or vice versa, even with some extra cost. This will save you some time, money, and hassle...

Have a great trip and keep me in your prayers...

Travel Tips for Mecca

Streets Of Mecca During Hajj Season.

by imran8852

This Is A Picture Of Pilgrims Making Their Way Back Home After Prayers During Hajj Season.
Along The Way Home, You Can Also Visit Shops And Restaurants. No Words Are Adequate Enough To Describe My Feeling About The Fondest Memories Of Mecca.

ENTERANCE VISA

by AliJoe

PHOTO : ORDINARY VISA FOR UMRAH'/ZIARAH'(TOUR).

See the differance from the top pic....this is a visa for tour only. The visa issued on our ordinary International's Passport. From the past experianced, the Embassy won't issued any visa for tour if the period / season for Hajj are closing to each other. This is to avoid the tourist overstayed and too crowded at one time.....2,000,000 are too many at one time.

Continuous maitenance of the Holy Mosque

by marimar_72

By all means this is one of the best construction work have been ever made on a mosque, everything is set to make the visit of the holy mosque more comfort for the pilgrimages and visitors.
Many minarets have been added, many gates have been opend.
I still remember,,when I was a child,,we couldn`t walk around the Ka`ba because of the hot ground,,now,,,it`s very comfortable walking bare footed as the grounds are set with marble that reflect the sun beams!

These grounds are not only inside the holy mosque,,but also covers most of the area surrounding the holy mosque to occupy more than 2.000.000 visitors at Hajj and Ramadan.

God bless my country!God bless Islam!

Sun set behind the mountains

by marimar_72

This picture was taken on our way back to Jeddah,it was almost 6:15p.m,and I think to myself,,why are we leaving?couldn`t we wait to pray the after sunset prayers(Maghrib)at the Holy Mosque?
Makkah is surrounded by mountains, and each time I pass throguh it all,,I think to myself,God is great!!!
(Sobhan Allah).

(Tahhalul )Cutting your hair

by kenari

cutting of the hair completes Umrah. Men are encouraged to have their hair shaven completely although trimming is also permitted but there is less reward in this. Women, however, only trim their hair slightly. Having done this, you may remove your Ihraam and revert to wearing your normal clothes. This will complete your Umrah
