Apartments ~ Al Ula: Apartments

Travelling to a remote or somehow isolated place, please do not expect to have the luxury, comfort and service of a five star hotel or apartments.
We stayed in one of the apartments in Al Ula city. A 2 bedroom flat with 2 bathrooms, living room and a small kitchen. Just when you thought we had a nice a comfy sleep! You're wrong! The place was a total disappointment, poor service and disgusting bathroom and linens!
Well, atleast we managed to get some sleep after a 10hrs road travel and we told ourselves we will never stay in that apartment ever again! LOL
It was a nice experienced though...
There are about 2 apartments in Al Ula while there is the Madain Saleh Hotel near the Highway as you reach Madain Saleh.

Mada'in Salih Hotel: Traditional and Elegant Stay

This hotel is the only accommodation available for tourists visiting Mada'in Salih. Actually, it's even located in al-Ula city which is a thirty-minute journey.
It consists of two types of accommodation; twin rooms and air-conditioned tents.
I stayed at a room, which is served by a bathroom, TV, a/c and balcony on a good view of the mountains.
The tent is accommodated with the same services. It's elegant with traditional atmospheres.

Available services:
Swimming pool but vacant in winter
Souvenir shop
Restaurant and buffet
Swings for children

Mada'in Salih Hotel: Tents with baths !!!!!

We stayed in the bungalow/tent accomination. It was great but having not ever stayed in the Hotel rooms I cant comment on how they compare to the rooms. We were the only ones in the tents when we where there. We had one tent the kids had another! Swat the Mosquito was the name of the game at night but appart from that we all loved it.
