Travel Tips for Medina

Dzul Hulaifah Mosque

by imran8852

Dzul Hulaifah Mosque or Syajarah Mosque also more commonly known as Abyar Ali about 410km north of Mecca and about 10km from Nabawi Mosque can accommodates more than 5000 people. Here is one of the places the pilgrims come to put on their ‘Ihram’ for Hajj or Umrah if they are already in Medina. No Words Can Really Describe My Feelings.

Masjid al Quiblatain

by Manyana

Or the Mosque of the Two Directions is located 5KM north west to the Prophet Mosque.
The Islamic history narrates that this mosque has got its name, because Muslims used to pray to one direction (to Jerusalem) at the onset of Islam. Then they were ordered to change the direction to the Holy Mosque in Mecca. So this mosque was the only mosque where Muslims performed their prayers to two directions (quiblatain).

My 1 day in Medina

by Kanjoo

"Very cool place on planet"

I was going to Pakistan recently, and the cheapest available flight was Saudi Arabian airline from Johannesburg to Karachi via Jeddah, and more than that the travel agent got me the 72 hours of transit visa as well, which helped me to visit such a sacred places.

... or anywhere else in my travels.

"Kurma"

... and brought them home ...
