Sahara Tabuk Makarim Hotel: Best Sahara Tabuk Makarim Hotel
i stayed in Sahara Tabuk Makarim hotel for two nights during the month of Aug 2010 , and i really found the hotel very firendly and the best in Tabuk city , as it is the only hotel which have a recreation center and swimming pool in the city of Tabuk , the hotel is having 24hrs room service , and nice restaurant , the rate was Sr 607 , but comparing to the facilities , it is considered acceptable , as the hotel really give you the five star experience in a city like Tabuk , i do recommend every body to go there , and the reservation can be done via theri web site ( www.saharatabukmakarim.com) .
Unique Quality: The swimming Pool , the Tennis Court , and the Recreation center is very unique in Tabuk , the front view of the hotel with nice landscaping is also unique in Tabuk city , plus the partolled car parking facilities which is huge .

Grand Sahara Makarim Hotel: Don't go to Grand Sahara Makarim Hotel
I stayed one night there. Price 425 SAR for one person. Its very expensive. Hotel is old, dirty, out of city, reception is not kind and helpful. I carried my bags to my room.
Air condition was old. It spreads bad smell. You can not open window instead of it. Because piggeon *** is everywhere. Beds are not comfortable, pillows were stinking.
Hotel has WiFi internet connection, but it is served in a proxy network thats why extremely slow.
Restaurants and minibars are always expensive at hotels thats why I won't say anything. But If you want to eat from outside, i suggest you to be brave. Why? Because you can't find regular taxi in Tabuk. Because they are not enough and they work at airport. Some people serve taxi with their private cars. They stop by you and ask you want a taxi. I took 2 of them. You can deal price with them. Fast food cheap in Tabuk. Go outside. So there is a lot of hotels in Tabuk. I suggest you to stay other hotels. You can find hotels from Tabuk airport webpage at "General Authority of Civil Aviaton" website link: http://www.gaca.gov.sa/GACA/airports/default.aspx?l=EN&aNo=6&No=0321&aID=003&fID=A221&cID=1

Main Hotels
Sahara and Maislon Hotels are the biggest names in the city.
Sahara Hotel at the outskirts of the city and has a bigger area
Maislon is near the end of Malik Fahad Road (Shar-e-Khamseen/Street 50) and is more inside the city.

Sahara Hotel, Tabuk: Best in Tabuk
I haven't stay there but seems to be the best in Tabuk. According to the staff (friendly) it's a 5* with swimming pool and fitness.
The price is around SR 200 + usual extra.

Al Fal compound: Western compound
The western compounds are not that great in the north and are smaller than if you were on contract in say... Riyadh. I lived in the Al Fal compound in the trailer part. There is an apartment type area in the Al Fal compound but that was taken by the MGDL folks.
Unique Quality: Most living accommodations for westerners are fully furnished and come with everything you need in a home. Pots, pans, stove and a full size American fridge are almost always included as well as all the linen you would need.
