    Oi Veh. Avoid the Sheraton at ALL cost. And believe me it will Cost you!! Run over to the Meridian hotel and escape this horror story of a hotel. It's creepy, smelly, filled with lurking people and generally . I was here for 3 days and it was like a month.

    The unique quality of this hotel is the exit. It's the best feature of this place.

    I stayed in a suite at the Sheraton in the spring of 2006. There was a large boquet of fresh flowers in the room and a plate of fresh fruit was delivered shortly after my arrival. The mini-bar had a large selection of items including a disposable camera and cigarettes. There is an ATM in the lobby which allows you to withdraw local currency. The business-centre was top-notch. I would recommend the Sheraton as a fine place to stay.

    There is a nice pool - but I didn't have a chance to use it. There was a private party by the pool one night with music and dancers that we could watch from our windows.

  • At USD220, the Sheraton Damasucus had better be good. The staff are helpful, the rooms well appointed, but with no in-room Internet. There is a business centre in the lobby. Due to the violence in Lebanon, a CNN team had commandeered the computers but were giving them up to guests on request. The hotel was besieged with (obviously well-heeled) "refugees" and were coping very well with a spike in occupancy from less than 50% to over 100% in two days.
