No breakfast is served at the hotel, but there is a cafe opposite serving typical Turkish hotel breakfast.
I needed to do some washing and they asked the cleaning woman to take it home and wash it for me until the next day. And she did for 5 000 000 TL
I paid 25 000 000 TL for my room.

hotel devran is a nice budget hotel in central ankara.
i paid 11 euro for a single room with private bathroom there and found it a very good deal.
the room was small but clean and so was the bathroom.
the receptionist spoke english and was very polite.
exactly the kinda hotel i like to stay at.

i travel a lot both for work and pleasure and akyuz is one of the most pleasant places i have been when it comes to friendly service.
the main problem is that it's not very cheap, but since i had it paid by a company i worked for i didn't have to care.
the reception staff was well above average compared to other hotels i have stayed at. the otel oba was 3 euros cheaper per night than hotel devran but also a lot shabbier and i would not stay there again when devran is just down the road from there and much nicer.
with 8 euros for a single room it is a cheap choice for a shoe string traveller though and as long as you don't mind the dingy rooms and the prostitutes that frequent the hotel then you can have a cheap nights stay there.
i don't know if it's a quality but i think the receptionist at the hotel was for sale too.

Stay at the Ankara Hilton. The entire staff speak both Turkish and english. The price is modest and the hotel is first class, there is even a small casino located in the bottom of the hotel. A Olympic size pool is loctated above the first floor. While we were at the main bar on the first floor, a actual live harp player played music whlie we discussed the days events which were unforgetable.
